Bali-Mt Bromo-Ijen Crater Tour 3Days/2Nights (03-08-2014/05-08-2014)

 

Daily overland trip from Bali to Java for Mount Bromo Tours and Ijen Crater Trekking in East Java

TOUR ITINERARY:
Day 01: BALI TO MOUNT BROMO HOTEL
About at 08:00, a guide will pick us up from our hotel in Bali (Summer Hotel, Kuta area) then drive by an AC vehicle tourist standard to Gilimanuk Ferry Port in the most western tip of Bali for about 3-4hours. Afterward, we will take ferry for about 1hour to reach Ketapang Ferry Port in the most eastern tip of Java Island. Upon arrival in Ketapang Ferry Port, we will have a stop at local restaurant for having lunch and then continue our trip to Mount Bromo for about 4-5 hours. Upon  arrival in Mt. Bromo area, we'll stay at the  Bromo Permai Hotel  where we could  overlook  the actives volcano of Mount Bromo, Batok and Mount Kursi around Tengger region.

Day 02: MT. BROMO HOTEL – MT. BROMO TOURS – IJEN CRATER 
At "4 am" the 4WD will bring us to the world's most famous view point at Mount Pananjakan on the rim of the Tengger caldera to see sunrise with its young volcanic craters, including Mount Bromo and  active Mount Semeru in the background. Afterward the adventure continues to the active Mount Bromo volcano by horse riding. About at 08:00, the 4 WD will bring us back to the hotel for breakfast, take a shower, packing and loading bags to the vehicle to transfer out to Banyuwangi regency where Ijen Crater/Kawah Ijen is located. We will drive from Mt. Bromo to Banyuwangi for about 4-5 hours including stop on the way for having lunch at local restaurant. Upon arrival in Banyuwangi, we will stay overnight at Ketapang Indah Hotel.

OPTIONAL PROGRAM:

~ If the weather is good enough, we will have a chance for visiting Madakaripura Waterfall  on the way from Mt Bromo to Hotel in Ijen Crater area 

Day 03: IJEN CRATER TOURS – BALI ISLAND 

Around 05:00 in the morning, our 4WD vehicle (jeep) will bring us to the village of Licin and then continue to the slope of Mount Ijen, passing through plantations and rainforest. This is one of the few remaining on the Island of Java with giant ferns, plants & big trees. This journey takes approximately 1 hour from the hotel by private car. Arrived at the parking area of Mount Ijen, approximately 1 until 1.5 hours will be required to ascend the slope of mount Ijen to reach peak of Ijen Crater. Along the path, we will enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air & shady. Resting on the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2883 meters we'll enjoy the best panorama of the lake of sulphate . The sulfur mining workers go down into the crater and climb back up by passing dangerous path on the edge of Ijen Crater with the load of as much as 80 kilograms on their shoulders. This is really a dangerous & hard job. Here also, we will enjoy the beautiful scenery in the crater of Ijen as one of God's amazing creation. After we'll descend the slope of Mount Ijen until vehicles parking area. Here our vehicle escort us back to the City of Banyuwangi from where we directly transfer out to Bali for about a 5-6 hours trip including  ferry for about 1hour from Ketapang ferry port of Banyuwangi to Gilimanuk ferry port in the western tip of Bali Island 

OPTIONAL PROGRAM:

~ If the weather is good enough, we will have a chance to see Blue Fire at Ijen Crater but we are required to leave from the hotel around at 12:00pm (midnight) and there will be extra cost for mining worker who will lead us to see Blue Fire at Ijen Crater.
